Why is my main washroom fan continuously running?
As per electrical code one fan must be continuously running in order to ensure that air is being circulated out of your home and that no condensation is built up between the vapor barrier in your ceiling and your drywall.
Why is there a metal box located in my entertainment unit? (If applicable in your home)
The metal box is a voltage regulator for the puck lighting and has to be accessible.
Why are there wires located inside my windows?
The wires are pre-run for an alarm system. All wires are located in the master bedroom closet.
Why is there a switch that does not seem to work on the main floor? (If applicable in your home)
The switch is pre-wired to control your Christmas lights.
If the paint has scuffs or marks, can I wash it?
No, as it may leave streaks on the wall.
Can I remove the tree in my backyard?
No, because it is required by the City of Surrey.
Who is responsible for the parking, roads, and sidewalks?
The City of Surrey maintains and enforces the parking, roads and sidewalks.
Where is the water and gas valve shut off located?
The valves are located under the stairs in the furnace room.
May I cover the manhole in my backyard? (i.e. Build a deck over it)
Yes, providing you are able to have access to the manhole if required.
May I put lawn ornaments on top or bury manhole covers that are in my flower bed?
Yes, but it is not recommended as the city will charge you for removal of ornament to access if required.
